We require parent/guardian permission before granting access to the platform for anyone under the age of 18. We encourage you to monitor your child’s participation in this and any other online environment to ensure that they do not share any personally identifying information, including that they generate a username that protects their anonymity.

Dear Parent/Guardian,
Your child is interested in joining the Community, Serve Us Youth Community. Community, Serve Us is designed to solve our greatest humanitarian crises at the local level by bringing every voice to the table. It uses non-partisan storytelling to bring users a look at an issue from the perspective of all affected parties and allows members to collaborate on impactful solutions via crowdsourcing tools like chat, idea boards and discussion forums.
The Youth Community allows those 11-17 to have their voices heard in a safe environment with trained moderators reviewing the content posted by users to ensure it adheres to the Community Rules of Engagement. We have partnered with KARMANT Learning, a non-profit focused on empowering youth to live a balanced life by developing content related to 5 pillars of health: Social, Emotional, Physical, Mental & Intellectual to ensure content is specifically designed with the life experiences, maturity and understanding of this population in mind. Also through this partnership, the youth community connects young individuals with opportunities for personal growth, volunteering, and nationwide collaboration. Purpose of Data Collection
We collect limited information to create your child’s account and enable their participation in our community. This includes:
- Name, age, and email address.
- Interests and skills for those interested in creating an optional profile in order to participate in volunteer opportunities.
- Optional demographic information such as location and ethnicity so that we can ensure our services are equally accessible to all.
We will never sell, share, or use your child’s data for marketing purposes. For more information, please review our Privacy Policy.
Consent
You will be asked to upload a valid government ID. Once you have done so, you may continue to the registration page and allow your child to create an account. They will be asked to check a box verifying that the Parental Consent Form has been completed by the legal parent/guardian. By providing valid verification of your identity and checking the box on the registration page:
- You consent to your child creating an account and participating in the Community, Serve Us Youth Community.
- Verify that the Parental Consent Form has been completed by the legal parent/guardian.
- Acknowledge that you are the legal parent /guardian of the above-named minor and agree to the policies outlined herein, including that you have read and agree to the Privacy Policy and Terms & Conditions.
- Give consent for your child to create an account and participate in the Community, Serve Us Youth Community.
